Saved: Regeneration
Ephesians 2:8a & 2 Corinthians 5:17

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“For by grace you have been saved through faith” & “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” Ephesians 2:8a & 2 Corinthians 5:17 NASB

Regeneration is the aspect of salvation that describes the new birth, being born again, being made a new creature. In John 3 Jesus told Nicodemus that to be a part of God’s kingdom he must be born again, born of the Spirit. In Ephesians 2 Paul described humanity as dead in sin, but God made alive those who are in Christ. This spiritual transformation takes place at the moment of conversion as the person repents and places his trust, his faith, completely and solely in Jesus as his Savior and Lord.

Lord God, because of Your great grace, I now have a new, eternal, everlasting life. I honor You by throwing aside the old ways and living a righteous new life.
