Raised and Seated
Ephesians 2:6

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“But God, . . . made us alive . . . and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” Ephesians 2:6 (4-6) NASB

Not only has God made us alive in Christ, He has also raised us up and seated us with Him! We who are in Christ, who by faith have trusted in His saving grace, are raised with Him to walk in a new life. The old sinful life has been crucified with Christ, and we are no longer dominated by its evil powers. We now can walk in this new sanctified and holy life in Christ. While we still remain on earth, our place in heaven is certain. In a mysterious spiritual way God has already seated us in heavenly places with Christ.

Lord Jesus, with heavenly anticipation, give me strength to faithfully walk in this new life with You. Let all that I do bring honor and glory to You, my Risen Savior.
