Death to Life - Good Friday to Easter
Ephesians 2:5

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“But God, . . . even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),” Ephesians 2:5 NASB

We were dead in our sin, but because of His great love, mercy, and grace, God made us alive in Christ. Having died in our place, Jesus paid the price for our sin through His atoning sacrifice on Calvary’s cross. Because of Jesus’ death on the cross, God’s wrath on sin was satisfied. Just as Jesus rose again from the tomb, God in His grace made us, who were dead, alive together with Christ. It is God’s grace, unmerited and undeserved favor, that provides to us a miraculous salvation from death to life.

Lord Jesus, on Calvary You died in my place, atoning for my sin. From the grave You arose, bringing this new, abundant, and eternal life to me and to all who will trust in Your saving grace!
