Building His Dwelling Place
Ephesians 2:22

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“Christ Jesus . . . in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.” Ephesians 2:20b, 22 NASB

Those who are in Christ, who have placed their faith in His saving grace, are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who sanctifies the believers, molding them to be like Christ. It is the Holy Spirit who fills the believers, empowering them to live righteously. It is the Holy Spirit who blesses the believers, exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control) in their lives. It is the Holy Spirit who builds the believers together into His church, Christ’s presence on earth.

Lord Jesus, fill me with the Spirit. I yield my life to be guided by Your Holy Spirit, living in a way that honors and glorifies You.
