Proclaiming Peace
Ephesians 2:17

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.” Ephesians 2:17 NIV

The good news of reconciliation and peace with God and with others must be preached, shared, proclaimed, testified, and taught. The gospel was first shared to those who were near, to the Jews, to those who knew the Scriptures. Then it was shared to those who were far away, to the Gentiles, to those who did not know God’s Word. The gospel of peace must be preached to all people, to those who have heard it and to those who have never heard the good news of salvation in Christ.

Lord Jesus, help me to boldly tell others of Your grace that saves through faith. Give me a voice to proclaim that there is peace with God available through Your sacrifice on the cross.
