At Peace In Christ
Ephesians 2:15

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“He made of no effect the law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, so that He might create in Himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace.” Ephesians 2:15 HCSB

Jesus’ perfect holy life and sacrificial death on the cross fulfilled and satisfied the requirements of justice in God’s Law. By His death on the cross, Jesus nullified, made of no effect, removed, and abolished the need for the Jewish religious regulations. These ceremonial customs were a cause for hostilities and enmity between Jews and Gentiles. Once bitter racial enemies, Jews and Gentiles could now be peacefully reconciled into one new body through faith in Christ.

Lord Jesus, having been saved by Your grace through faith, I have peace with God. Help me now to live in peace with other believers in Your church.
