Peace and Reconciliation
Ephesians 2:14

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall,” Ephesians 2:14 NASB

Having been reconciled with God by the blood of Jesus, the Gentiles were also reconciled with the Jews. These two groups had built up a great dividing wall that caused great enmity and hostility between them. These bitter racial enemies could only find peace through Jesus. Only Jesus could provide everlasting peace which would break down the walls that divide and alienate these two groups. Only the blood of Jesus can forgive and cleanse sin and reconcile a person with God and with other believers.

Lord Jesus, it is only through You that I have peace with God and with my fellow believers. Help me to broker peace with others through reconciliation with You.
