Reconciliation
Ephesians 2:13

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” Ephesians 2:13 NASB

From the despair of alienation, hopelessness, and godlessness, the Gentiles have found hope and a relationship with God through the blood of Christ. They had been far away from God, their sin being the barrier that blocked any relationship with God. But by God’s grace that sin barrier had been destroyed by the sacrifice of Christ, the shedding of His blood on Calvary’s cross. Now all people, Gentiles as well as Jews, can have their sins forgiven and cleansed and can approach near to God.

Lord Jesus, I thank You for the shedding of Your blood that allowed me to be reconciled to God. Now draw me close to You and help me share that reconciliation with others.
