Saved: Now Work
Ephesians 2:10b

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 NASB

The means of salvation is solely God’s grace and not by any works a person could possibly do. However, the result, the evidence of salvation is that the believer will do good works. Salvation is a life-changing experience that results in changing an individual’s priorities to desire to honor, serve and obey God. These priorities include a daily walk with Christ, which is a lifestyle of doing good works which God plans and purposes His followers to accomplish.

Lord Jesus, I yearn to glorify You in the way I walk, my lifestyle, by doing what You desire. Help me to live out my faith in obedience to Your Word by doing as You command.
