Saved: Now What
Ephesians 2:10a

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 NASB

We are saved solely by God’s grace through faith in Christ, but God does not save us just so we can spend eternity in Heaven. Believers’ lives are to be His workmanship, His artistic masterpieces, His poetry actively demonstrating His Word, His works of art created by His craft and skill, molded and shaped to glorify and honor Him. The initial experience of salvation is only the beginning of a lifelong journey of becoming more like Christ, reflecting His glory and grace, and doing the good work He has prepared.

Lord Jesus, help me to be a shining example of Your creative ability. Let my life reflect Your love and grace, bringing You glory and honor in all I do.
