Prayer Concerns
Ephesians 1:17

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.” Ephesians 1:17 HCSB

Exemplifying a great prayer warrior, Paul specifically prayed for spiritual concerns. Too often today prayers are more concerned about physical needs, especially health and daily activities. Yes it is important to pray for physical concerns. Jesus taught that we are to pray “give us this day our daily bread.” Yet it is also essential to pray for spiritual needs. Paul prayed for the Ephesian believers to be given wisdom, understanding, and enlightenment and to know God’s calling, inheritance, and power that are found in Christ.

Lord Jesus, teach me how to pray for spiritual concerns so that believers’ lives would glorify and honor You.
