“Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.” Colossians 1:12 NASB
Paul continues his thoughts and prayers for the believers in Colossae by giving thanks to God. He is grateful to God for the great inheritance of salvation that He gives to all believers. An inheritance is not earned but is a gift. God has given the greatest gift of forgiveness of sins and eternal life through His Son, Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord. This inheritance is not only Heaven someday, but it is an abundant, joyful, and loving life that is lived each day in a relationship with the Lord.
Lord Jesus, I am grateful for the great inheritance of the gift of salvation. Help me to live this day in the wonderful light of Your love and grace.
