“It gave me great joy to have some brothers come and tell about your faithfulness to the truth and how you continue to walk in the truth.” 3 John 3 NIV

John was delighted when on several occasions people came and told him about Gaius. Gaius was living faithfully to the teachings of Jesus. He did not waver back and forth about what he believed. His faith and trust in Jesus were steadfast. He was totally loyal to Jesus. His actions matched his beliefs. This faithfulness brought great joy to John. The mere mention of Gaius brought a smile to John’s face. He was pleased to hear of his faithfulness.

Lord Jesus, I am thankful and happy for other believers who are faithful to You. Help me to live in such a way as to bring joy to others.
