“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 NIV

To handle the Word of God correctly, we need to hear it, read it, study it, memorize it, meditate on it, and apply it to our lives. We must dig deep into God’s Word letting it fill our life. Will you resolve to study the Word of Truth, the Bible, so that you will handle it correctly? To be a workman who is not ashamed, we need to obey God and to be totally committed and surrendered to following His ways. Will you resolve to honor and glorify Him daily? To do our best before God, we need to put Him first in our lives. God is to be our first priority. Will you resolve to do your best for God by placing Him first each day of this new year?

Lord Jesus, in this new year, I desire to learn from Your Word how to live in a way that is pleasing to You.
