“But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.” 2 Peter 3:7 NASB
By the power and might of His word God created the universe. By His word God judged and destroyed the ancient world by flood. By His word God is keeping the present world for its final judgment and destruction by fire. All the ungodly, sinful, and evil people will face judgment. All people who have not trusted in Christ Jesus, who have not been cleansed and made righteous by blood, will be judged and face eternal punishment. The only hope for all people is salvation in Jesus!
Lord Jesus, I am thankful for the salvation You provide that has forgiven and cleansed me of my sins. Help me to tell others about You, our only hope.
