“For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them.” 2 Peter 2:21 NASB

Peter describes those who had just enough “religion” to be inoculated with a vaccine, making them almost immune to the convicting power of salvation. They had heard the gospel but had willfully chosen to reject it and deliberately disobeyed God’s commands. While knowing the facts about Jesus and His offer of salvation, these false teachers and their followers had turned away from personally trusting and obeying His commands.

Lord Jesus, many people today know about You but have not totally committed their life in faith and put their trust in You. Help me to encourage others to accept and follow in Your way of righteousness.
