“And the LORD appeared again at Shiloh, because the LORD revealed Himself to Samuel at Shiloh by the word of the LORD.” 1 Samuel 3:21 NASB

Shiloh was chiefly known as an early place of worship in the Promise Land for the children of Israel. Because it housed the tabernacle and the Ark of the Covenant, Shiloh became a religious center of worship during the time of Joshua’s conquest and settlement of the land and continued to serve through the early period of the Judges. At Shiloh, Samuel came to know the Lord. Shiloh was the place where Israel gathered for worship and to seek direction from God.

Lord Jesus, let Your church been known as a place of worship where You are revealed and Your Word is taught. As Your disciples gather in churches this Sunday, help us to truly worship You and seek Your direction and guidance.
