“None of you, however, should suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or a meddler.” 1 Peter 4:15 HCSB

Peter declares that these four things should never be a part of a believer’s life. The consequences of these four wrongs cause suffering and pain. The first two specific deeds, murder and thievery, are well understood. The third is a overarching general term for doing evil instead of right. The fourth is an unusual term that interpreted means an agitating busybody who nosily meddles and pries into another’s business and affairs causing trouble by his interfering. God will not bless the person for suffering due to their committing evil such as these four deeds.

Lord Jesus, help me to not do these evil things that cause suffering. Let my life bring Your hope and peace to others by doing what is right.
