“For in this way in former times the holy women also, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands. Thus Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, and you have become her children if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear.” 1 Peter 3:5-6 NASB

Peter urges believers to find role models who are holy and who trust in God. He specifically addresses believing women that they should look to the examples of the holy women found in scripture. He names Sarah as such a role model for she showed her husband respect and attentiveness. Sarah adorned herself with inner virtue and character by doing right and trusting in God.

Lord God, help me to choose holy and righteous role models for my life so that I can live is such a way that others will see Jesus in me.
