“For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men.” 1 Peter 2:15 NIV

Peter was urging his fellow believers to do what is right, to obey God above all, and to then submit to government authorities. The result of doing good would silence those who leveled false charges and criticism against the believers. There were those who misunderstood what the believers stood for and why believers did the things they did. By doing what is right and good, the believers would silence or muzzle the false and foolish critics.

Lord Jesus, You have taught me to do what is right even when falsely accused. Help me to show Your love and grace to those who are critical of what other believers and I do.
