“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” 1 Peter 1:3 HCSB

Peter breaks out into joyful praise to God the Father because of the Lord Jesus. Believers should constantly praise God because of what He has done through Jesus’ death and resurrection. Not by one’s own merit, but God in His great mercy has provided salvation to all who believe. This new birth gives believers a living hope, a growing and confident assurance, based solely on the fact that Jesus Christ rose from the dead.

Lord Jesus, Your resurrection is the greatest event in all of history. No matter what trials I face in life or even death, You provide hope and salvation because of Your resurrection
