“Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that would come to you searched and carefully investigated.” 1 Peter 1:10 HCSB

The great salvation provided by the sacrifice of the Messiah had intrigued the prophets of the Old Testament. God had spoken through them about His great grace that would offer salvation to all, Jews and Gentile alike, who would believe and trust in the Savior and Lord. This grace would offer forgiveness of sins and unite all believers in the Kingdom of God. This salvation and grace was the subject of the Old Testament prophecies and was intently studied by the prophets. They searched with the greatest care, inquiring for more details and understanding of the grace that Peter’s readers now possessed through faith in Jesus Christ the Lord.

Lord Jesus, I am so thankful for Your grace and salvation. Help me to diligently search Your Word, the Bible, so I can understand and apply Your grace and love in my daily life.
