“The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. The one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given about His Son.” 1 John 5:10 HCSB
To believe in the Son of God is to totally trust Him, to rely completely on Him, and to fully commit to following and obeying Him. When a person has that type of faith in Jesus, he knows for certain because the testimony, the witness, is in himself, in his heart. This internal witness combines with the external historical evidence giving testimony that Jesus is the Son of God. In contrast, by his rejection of what God said, the one who does not believe in Jesus says that God is wrong, that He is a liar. To reject Jesus is to reject God.
Lord Jesus, I do trust You for salvation, for my life, and for guiding me through each day. Help me to act in a way that shows my belief in You.
