“Little children, let no one deceive you! The one who does what is right is righteous, just as He is righteous.” 1 John 3:7 HCSB

Even children of God can be deceived by those who teach false doctrine. The false teachers stated it did not matter what one did but only what one knew. John teaches the truth that one’s life will show evidence that one is truly a child of God by habitually doing what is right. The believer’s character will be guided by the principle of righteousness. Jesus will be the model and standard for how a child of God lives.
