“That is how we will know we are of the truth, and will convince our hearts in His presence, because if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts and knows all things.” 1 John 3:19-20 HCSB

When love is not put into action in the believers life, his heart condemns him. His conscience is pricked and disturbed at his lack of obedience. Guilt may even try to persuade him that he is not a true believer. However, God is omniscient. He knows all things. Thus, God knows the truth about the believer’s motives and his relationship with Him. God gives assurance to the believer of His presence in his life. A believer’s abiding relationship with God is based not on feelings but on faith.

Lord Jesus, convict me of the sin that is in my life that I may truly love with a pure heart. Let me put that love into action by sharing with others who need Your forgiveness.
