“Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is.” 1 John 3:2 NASB

God’s children are bound together in His great love. Right now, believers don’t always look, think, and act like His children. But one glorious day, Christ will return. On that day, His children will be changed to be like Him. Right now, believers should be gradually growing toward spiritual maturity and Christlikeness. On the day that Christ returns, His children will instantly reach spiritual maturity resembling the nature and character of Jesus.

Lord Jesus, what a wonderful life You have given me, and what an extraordinary future I will have with You. Help me in the way I think and act to become more like You.
