“And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments.” 1 John 2:3 NASB

We can have assurance of a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Knowing God is not knowledge just for the sake of intellectual learning. It is knowledge that is applied to daily living. To know God is to experience God, to have a relationship with God, and to obey God. We can know for sure we have this knowledge of God because we desire to obey His Word. To keep His commandments involves both an inward attitude and an outward action. Obedience to God’s Word is a mark of a true Christian.

Lord Jesus, I do desire to know You and to follow Your commandments. Help me to apply Your Word in my life this day.
