“I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you; and I will make you a name like the name of the great ones who are in the earth.” 1 Chronicles 17:8 NASB

God reminds David that it was God’s power, might, and grace that made David the king of Israel. Wherever David had been, God was with him, protecting and guiding him. God’s presence was not limited to a building, such as a tabernacle or temple. He is omnipresent, meaning He is always present. God is especially with those who trust Him, giving direction and guidance for every situation and protection from evil. God was working in David’s life to make him a great leader of His people.

Lord Jesus, I am thankful for Your protective watch care. Help me to be sensitive to Your leading me through each moment of the day.
