“Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.” Psalm 37:3 NASB

Instead of fretting, worrying, or being envious because the wicked and evil seem to prosper (v.1), the righteous are to trust in the Lord, placing all their confidence, hope, and security in the Lord. This faith and trust in the Lord leads one to do good, to do what is right in His sight. Faith moves the righteous to holy actions that include dwelling in the land and cultivating and feeding on faithfulness. Trusting leads these persons to securely and safely abide in righteousness, faithfully obeying the Lord and all His commands.

Lord Jesus, in this world fraught with evil, I trust in You for eternal salvation and daily security. Help me to do what is right in Your sight, faithfully doing good.
