“Worship the LORD with reverence And rejoice with trembling. Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!” Psalm 2:11-12 NASB

God invites all people to come and worship Him. Instead of sinful rebellion, causing God’s wrath and destructive punishment to be experienced, all people are urged to repent and serve the Lord in reverential fear and joy, acknowledging Him as Lord and Master. Receiving God’s gift of forgiveness and salvation through faith and trust in Jesus brings blessing, including refuge and strength to face each day of this new year.

Lord Jesus, I humbly submit to Your Lordship over my life through obedience to Your Word. I pay homage to You, my King, by giving You praise, honor, and glory.
