"With all my heart I have sought Thee; Do not let me wander from Thy commandments." Psalm 119:10 NASB

The Psalmist searched for God with all his heart, commitment, and energy. His desire was to know God, to have an experience with God, and to have a relationship with God. He gave everything he had to the search. A boat not solidly anchored or tied down will drift, being pushed by the current of the water. The Psalmist wanted to be solidly anchored to God by the commandments of God’s Word. He did not want to drift away, being pushed by the culture or by other people away from God’s Word.

Lord Jesus, it is the desire of my heart to be closer to You and Your Word each day. Help me to avoid drifting away by daily reading the Bible and obeying its commands.
