“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14 HCSB

As David concludes this psalm, he prays that all the words he says and all thoughts he thinks would be pleasing to God. The word “acceptable” describes an animal without blemish that has met the high standards of a sacrificial offering to God. Having seen God and His glory in creation and in the Scriptures, David’s desire was that his every word and every thought would be approved by God and would bring glory to God, his Strength and Redeemer.

Lord Jesus, may my words and thoughts glorify You as I yield my life to You in obedience to Your Word. You are my Rock, my Strength, my Sustainer, my Protector, my Savior and Redeemer.
