“Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.” Matthew 7:6 NASB

Believers should use discernment to recognize the holy from the unrighteous instead of being hypocritical in judging others. Jesus illustrates by stating that neither dogs nor pigs know what is holy and precious. They simply trample and tear up what is holy and righteous. My dogs do not appreciate that I am trying to beautify my yard by planting azalea bushes. Instead, they trample over them breaking off limbs as they run up and down the fence. People who are hostile toward God and His Word simply trample over what He has declared as holy.

Lord Jesus, help me to discern what is holy and righteous from all the rest. Let me use this discernment in sharing Your Holy Word with the people I meet.
