“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.” Matthew 7:13 NIV

Jesus speaks of two gates and two destinations in verses thirteen and fourteen. The wide gate ends in destruction. Many people follow the crowd and take the easy way through life. They go the way of least resistance. They just do what everybody else is doing. They go with the majority and want what is most popular. Yet this way leads to destruction and death. Only God’s narrow way leads to life.

Lord Jesus, help me to focus on Your way, not on the popular human way of living. Keep me focused on Your Word so that I can live in Your way.
