“For He has had regard for the humble state of His bondslave; For behold, from this time on all generations will count me blessed.” Luke 1:48 NASB

Mary considered herself a bondslave, a lowly servant of God, with no status except to humbly and obediently serve God. Yet God had “regard” for her. He was mindful of her state and condition. He was pleased with her faithfulness to Him and blessed her. Like Mary many people find themselves in humble and lowly situations. Be assured that God sees and cares for all people. The ultimate expression of His concern and love was sending the baby Jesus, His Son, to redeem us from our sins.

Lord God, I desire to be Your faithful and obedient servant. I am grateful for the gift of salvation and eternal life provided through Jesus.
