“All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him.” Isaiah 53:6 NASB

Sheep are notorious for wandering away from the fold and getting into trouble. The shepherd would have to rescue them from danger. And so are we. Like sheep we all have wandered away from God and His ways. We all have done our own thing, followed our own selfish ways. We all have sinned. Yet Jesus, the Good Shepherd, rescued us by taking the punishment, God’s wrath, for our sins, our iniquity. He became our substitute, dying on Calvary as a sacrifice for us all.

Lord Jesus, Your atoning sacrifice provides the forgiveness and cleansing for my sin. I place my faith in You for redeeming my soul and providing life, abundant and eternal.
