Significant Places: Eden
Genesis 2:8

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“The LORD God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed.” Genesis 2:8 NASB

Eden is the first place of significance as we prepare for Christmas. There God planted a wonderful and perfect garden for the first man and woman. The perfection was soon destroyed when, deceived by the serpent, the couple disobeyed God. As He pronounced judgement on their sin and on the serpent, God also promised that from the seed of the woman would come a Savior, who would bruise the serpent and also be bruised by the serpent.

Lord God, thank You for Your amazing plan to send Jesus into the world to destroy sin and evil by dying on Calvary’s cross. Because of Your grace and mercy, I am forgiven of my sins through Jesus my Savior.
