Partners
Ephesians 5:7

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“. . . God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them.” Ephesians 5:6c-7 NIV

The lifestyle of the disobedient is incompatible with the lifestyle of a believer in Christ. The believer is warned to not partner, partake, or participate with those who are rebelling against God and His Word, with those whose lifestyle is full of immorality, impurity, and greed, with those who are under God’s wrath as a consequence of their disobedience. A believer is not to participate or share in the practices of the old sinful lifestyle, but he is to live in holiness and righteousness, being obedient to God’s Word.

Lord Jesus, as I live in this world, help me to avoid being intertwined with wickedness. Fill my life with Your Word, Your truth, and Your righteousness.
