Husbands Lead
Ephesians 5:23

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.” Ephesians 5:23 NASB

The husband’s role is to be the head, the guide, that provides leadership to the home, not forced or demanding tyrannical dictatorship, but loving and self-giving leadership. The comparison of the husband to Christ is to be understood in that Christ’s great love for the church is so intense that He gave His life to save the church. The husband is to love his wife in the same self-giving way. He is to guide by his example so that both he and his wife walk daily in faithful loving obedience to God.

Lord Jesus, help me to walk in a way that glorifies You in all that I say and do. May my home honor and glorify You, my Savior.
