Fitted Together in Love
Ephesians 4:16

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“From Him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building up itself in love by the proper working of each individual part.” Ephesians 4:16 HCSB

Christ, the Head of the church, unifies and directs the whole body. All believers are joined to one another through Christ. As parts of the body of Christ, the church, all believers are to grow together in love. As one matures in the faith, one is to help other believers to also grow and mature, thus working together to build up the church. It is love, Christ’s love filled with His grace and mercy, that promotes the church and every believer to grow and work properly together.

Lord Jesus, in You I find my place of service in the church. Guide me to help and support other believers in the body, the church.
