Saint’s Work
Ephesians 4:12b

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,” Ephesians 4:12 ESV

Having been made holy by the saving and cleansing power of Jesus, every believer is set apart, gifted, and equipped to do the work of ministry, of service, as a part of the body of Christ, the church. Every believer is tasked with doing righteous and holy work that grows and strengthens the church. Every believer is to be a witness, sharing the gospel of Christ with others. Every believer is to do acts of kindness and compassion, reflecting the grace, mercy, and love of Christ in all words and deeds.

Lord Jesus, strengthen me and guide me to do the holy work of ministry. Help me to do all I can to build up, encourage, and grow Your church.
