Saved: Not by Works
Ephesians 2:9
The Upward Look

“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB
Works! All those good deeds, kind words, and even religious activities and rituals do not result in saving a person from judgment and gaining them eternal life. Not a single person, no matter what they do or how good they are, can boast that their accomplishments gained them entrance into Heaven. Salvation is God’s gift to those who solely trust in His grace through faith in Jesus, His sacrificial death on the cross that cleanses sin.
Lord Jesus, I humbly acknowledge that all my good works will never merit or earn my way into Heaven. Because I am saved solely by Your grace, I give You all the glory, honor, and praise.
