Lavished Grace
Ephesians 1:7c-8a

The Upward Look
    by Max D. Hutto,

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us.” Ephesians 1:7-8a NASB

The believer has been redeemed and forgiven, not because he deserves it, but because of God’s marvelous grace. Grace is unmerited favor. It is God giving good things to those who do not deserve them. Though we are unworthy, we receive the goodness of God. God is rich in grace and lavishly pours out His grace. The gift of grace is not limited to just a single drop or two of grace, but grace is overflowing, profusely and extravagantly poured out. God graciously and abundantly gives redemption, forgiveness, and eternal life.

Lord Jesus, I marvel at Your rich grace that lavishly floods my life. Therefore with all my life, all I am and do, I will praise and glorify You.
