“With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed--an accursed brood!” 2 Peter 2:14 NIV

Peter continues to condemn these false teachers and hypocrites for their continual lifestyle of sin. He describes them as having eyes full of adultery, meaning that they continually looked at others with lustful desire. Their thoughts were consistently filled with sex and sensual pleasure. Like a hunter using a baited trap, they seduced the weak. They were well-trained experts in getting all they selfishly and greedily wanted. Because of their sinful behavior they faced God’s judgment and wrath.

Lord Jesus, this world flagrantly promotes a sinful lifestyle of greed, sexual, and sensual pleasures. Help me to live a holy and pure life of obedience to Your Word.
