“Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.” 2 Peter 1:4 NIV

Through the knowledge of God by His grace and power, believers have been given marvelous and priceless promises. These promises include salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ. These promises also include having His character and goodness to live a godly life. The believer will become more and more like Christ as he grows in godly nature and holy character. This world has been corrupted and destroyed by evil; yet the believer can live a life that is pleasing and honoring to God through His power and grace.

Lord Jesus, I am amazed by the life You have given to me and to all who trust in You. Help me to live a godly and holy lifestyle that reflects Your character, exhibiting Your grace and love.
