“For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.” 2 Peter 1:16 NASB

Peter, the apostles, and other disciples of Jesus told the truths of the gospel including teaching about the majesty and powerful coming of the Lord Jesus. The false teachers however proclaimed that the stories about Jesus and His coming were cleverly devised tales, myths, fables, or speculations conceived out of human imagination. Peter declared that the gospel of Jesus was true, based on those like himself who had personally seen Jesus. Peter and many of the disciples were historical eyewitnesses of the power and majesty of Jesus.

Lord Jesus, there are still many today who call Your story as merely a make-believe tale. Help me to live and proclaim Your truth as found in the Bible.
