“I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.” 2 John 12 NIV

John had more he wanted to communicate with his readers, but he wanted to speak to them in person. While letters are a good way to communicate, sometimes it is best to look eye to eye with the person to fully communicate with them on an important topic. John plans on such a face to face meeting with his readers. That meeting will bring great joy to both John and his readers just as meeting with other believers at church should bring joy to our hearts.

Lord Jesus, help me to learn better how to communicate Your great love with others who need You. Thank you for the joy that comes from being with other believers.
