“For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit.” 1 Peter 3:18 NASB

We could not know God or have a relationship with Him because of our sin. The just, perfect, and holy Jesus took all the punishment for our sins. He provided the sacrifice for our sins by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead to provide eternal life. Christ Jesus provided this sacrifice in order to provide a way for us to come to know God in a real, personal, and saving relationship.

Lord Jesus, I am amazed at what You sacrificed for me and for all who will believe in You. Help me to share with others this good news of Your love, mercy, and grace.
