“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:7 NASB

With tender affection, John urgently appeals to his readers to love one another. This agape love is given to the believers by God. Agape love is a sacrificial, self-giving love that desires the best for the other person. It is a love of the will not emotion. God is the source from which this love flows out to all true believers. Only true believers are filled with agape love. Thus, those who have been born again and have a continually growing knowledge and relationship with God, express agape love through their lives.

Lord Jesus, I stand amazed at Your great love. Help me to truly love other believers and express that love by my actions.
