“Now this is His command: that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another as He commanded us.” 1 John 3:23 NASB

To “believe” is to place one’s total trust and faith in Jesus Christ, who He is and what He has done. It is to believe that He is God’s one and only Son who became a human to show us how to live. It is to believe that He is the sacrifice for one’s sins having taken our punishment for sin on the cross. It is to believe that He is the only way to gain eternal life in heaven. It is to believe that He is coming back as Judge and King. This belief in Jesus changes one’s way of living. This belief is demonstrated by an unselfish love for other believers.

Lord Jesus, I do believe in You! Help me to show that belief today in the way I act and think toward other believers by loving them just as You love.
